Elder T.L. Brisbane Sr.
Elder Terrance L. Brisbane Sr. is a Jacksonville native and the youngest of son of the late Pastor Dr. Dwight E. Brisbane Sr. and Missionary Sandra Brisbane and God -son of the late Mother Ruth Nelson. As a preacher’s kid his parents stressed the importance of ministry, family and charity and he understands “whom much is given, from him much will be required” and strives to live up to the calling God has on his life.
Elder Brisbane has been inspired to pursue ministry by God’s living and active Word and his chief desire is to see souls added to the Kingdom of God. He currently serves under the direction of his Father at Higher Ground COGIC. He is committed to loving the people of God, teaching the Word of God with authority and loves to share the gift of salvation with those who are lost. He is an anointed bible teacher who uses real world applications of the Word and personal experiences, interwoven with humor and wisdom, to help others overcome challenges with the direct application of the scriptures. He exemplifies and encourages living victoriously, in the face of adversity, by daily prayer, bible study and worship within God’s presence.
He received his formal undergraduate education in Public Relations and Risk Management at Florida A & M University. He has also successfully completed independent professional training in business management, real estate, insurance and community development.
Professionally Elder Brisbane has over 16 years of experience in the Banking and Real Estate industry he has held several leadership positions throughout his career and is currently the Vice President of Community Development Mortgage Banking for BBVA Compass Bank, where he is responsible for the bank’s community lending initiatives throughout the state of Florida. He has established relationships with state and local government agencies to assist municipalities in revitalizing and developing viable communities. His diverse industry background has allowed him to opportunities to assist builders/developers, homeowners and investors throughout the U.S.
Dedicated to serve to his community, he volunteers as an at-risk youth mentor and athletic coach helping to shape the lives of young men and women. He serves on the boards of several non-profits focusing on community development and youth, he also offers his skills and expertise to the community by hosting free financial literacy courses and homeownership workshops in schools and local churches.
God has truly blessed his family he is devoted husband of Ebony Courtney Brisbane and proud dedicated father of 5 awesome gifted children; Terrance Jr, Andrue, True, Tobias and Elyse
